The ATH-ESW9 features real wood earcups and genuine leather earpads. Along with good looks, you're not going to find a better sounding compact portable than these, plus they're comfy too! Excellent bass response, clear midrange, detailed treble and great soundstage for a closed model.

The only possible negative of the ESW9 is that they don't offer a great deal if isolation from outside noise so canalphones will still be a better choice for portable use when high isolation (and greater portability) is required.
